On July 4 2002, after a two-year battle with cancer, Wilfred Tsang passed away. He devoted many years of his life to the mining community and he was a wealth of knowledge and experience. His loss saddens our entire industry.

In recognition of the dawn of the new millennium, Mineral Environments Laboratories officially adopted "Assayers Canada" as its new operating name.

December 1, 1999
Assayers Corporation, the owner of Mineral Environments Laboratories and the other members of the TSL Assayers Group, sold their Vancouver laboratory to the local management.
